Trapped on the Outside |
I can see them talking of
the love of yesterday, |
No one around to notice. |
No one around to care. |
I hear them laughing
trying to cover the fear inside, |
No notice to who theyre
around. |
I can sense the tension
of the lovers quarrels, |
No one to talk to but
themselves. |
I can sense the stress of
the people in general, |
No ones listening. |
No one seems to care. |
I try to reach out to
help these people, |
To give them strength, |
To give them care. |
To lend a friendly ear, |
To give them advise I
seem to have. |
But when I reach out and
try, |
Im dismayed to find, all
my good intentions failed. |
When I realize Im on the
other side of the wall. |
